Watch the PowerPoint slideshow on water. Do you agree with this point of view? What do you think about water usage and its importance. In your INB write about the importance of water to you, or choose a creative way to show the importance of water to life.

Diving into Seventh Grade

Welcome to seventh grade life science! Are you excited to be back at school? I am! Why? I am excited because it means I will soon be meeting all of you. You may be wondering why I have such a wacky picture of my self on the blog. The answer to that question is that the picture shows the highlight of my scientific summer. Last week I spent four days at a Discovery Channel Institute for science teachers working with Discovery Channel Star Educators. We met at Discovery Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. Does this give you a clue as to why I chose this picture? It has to do with an event you will be studying in seventh grade. By the way, if you wanted to see my old science room being destroyed, you're in luck. Mr. Davis filmed it being torn down. Click on the video below and you can watch it being destroyed.
